It’ll be the first time Finest Imaginary has been a vendor at a London based fair, so it’s super exciting. We have lots of hard work ahead of us to make sure our stall looks the best it can, it’s pretty daunting, the renegade fairs are HUGE! We’re hoping to meet lots of our fellow designer makers from the UK, and hopefully even some from the USA (I think a few people are heading over for the event?). If you get chance you should definitely come down, it’s a full 2 days of fantastic Christmas Shopping ;)

Next sunday, the 5th of December, sees the return of the fair due to the popularity of the first! We’ll be having a stall there again and can’t wait! Here’s some more info about the event:

“Sunday 5th December 2010 between 11am and 4.30pm.
Featuring hand made and lovingly stuffed Noobs from Charley dreams, stunning handmade jewellery by Velvet Noir, as well many more crafters’ work, Reetsweet Events have put the haute couture into what we formally knew as craft. The last event was well attended and Reetsweet seems to have struck a nerve with Leeds’ shoppers.
The founder of Reetsweet Events, Rebecca Drury was inspired to bring home made to the high street after finding access limited to an online environment. A former Personal Shopper Drury understands the importance of putting a face to a product, the value of customer service and being able to put quality before quantity.
“I’ve always been passionate about handmade crafts. With the recession craft has returned to the forefront with the modern consumer wanting individual items both for them and their homes. As a former Personal Shopper I love engaging with people and finding out what they need and hopefully filling their requirement. Through Reetsweet Events I can combine my two passions, people and craft, and bring beautiful, one off pieces to the Corn Exchange.”
Reetsweet was born last year on this premise; the aim to bring quality hand made products to the high street in a welcoming, customer driven environment. This is Rebecca’s second event at the Corn Exchange and Rebecca is pleased to have the support of the Corn Exchange, Leeds – hoping to show shoppers its refurbished glory and fantastic independent shops and rebuild its reputation as the no 1 shopping destination for independent retail in Leeds.

Also we will be showcasing designs that haven’t yet hit the website (such as some new science beaker designs, a wonderful multi-part Luchador and some new badge sets). And as always we’ll be offering our special ‘show prices’ where plastic necklaces are 2 for £10 or £6.50 each, and everything else runs a little cheaper too.
